Tweens, Bunnies, Doctors

Those are the things that my days have been filled with lately.

First off, while I knew that the upcoming teen years were going to be a bit dramatic, I was unprepared for the tweens.

Ms. Darby is full force into her tweens and driving me crazy! Here she is with her violin getting ready for last weekends strings festival at East High School, which was really fun even though Henri sang really loudly to the songs he knew… and didn’t know…

One problem is the fact that our house has one ‘nice’ bathroom. Sure, there is a toilet in the basement and could be turned into a nice little bathroom, eventually, by a different family…. BUT for right now, all of us need to share the one upstairs. She has taken to spending every single minute possible in there before school. On top of that, it takes her about 40 minutes to get downstairs for breakfast. When I asked her why is takes so long, her reply was ‘well, my sheets and blankets are sooo comfortable…’. Hmmmmm, like everyone else’s aren’t? She also gets very confrontational when we get a little annoyed that no one else can use the bathroom in the morning. She personally thinks that Jerome is just out to annoy her too. And, while I can agree that sometimes he is out to annoy her, not always. He even spent most of his night after work videotaping her and her friends making dance videos for YouTube!

Yikes.

I have actually been working a little this week between doctor appointments and will have a nice stack of goodies to drop off at Anthology on Friday.

Here is a sampling of a few items. I have more plush and frames that will be done before then too.

Ah yes, doctor appointments. Today I have to drive ALL the way across town (literally) to go to the OB. Sure, I bet there are perfectly adequate OB’s somewhere closer to where I live, but I am not really one who likes change. It seems like I was just driving across town all the time for OB visits… wait, that’s right, I was…. I am also in physical therapy for long standing neck and shoulder pains and went in for a muscle manipulation yesterday. It was a combination of a bit of chiropractic care mixed with massage and was pure heaven. Best I’ve felt in years. My physical therapist that I have to go see every week is of course, across town as well. That is not by my choosing but my insurance company.

I will end this with a pic of my boys then it is time to get in the car again and drive across town. At least Henri is doing great at Grandma and Grandpa V’s for whole days now, so that is sooo helpful. He is down to nursing a couple times a day and eats everything in site, so hopefully this will keep going smoothly. I am so grateful that they are pretty close by and love to help with the boy!

Here are the boys…

Maybe I’ll get lucky and the tiny bean will be a boy too. I’m not sure if I can handle more tween girls in my future! Ah hell, of course I can.

That’s kind of why I’m glad Lily is my niece. I’m not so good with the tw/eenages…

and oohh! Bunnies! Looking forward to the delivery! I especially like the one with the cable knit? texture.

And finally, I know I say this every time, but pictures of dads with their babies are the BEST! Thanks for sharing!
