My Yard, Condensed

yard2

This is a little bouquet that I picked from the blooms in my yard. Many of the spring flowers are on their way out so I thought I better grab a few while I can.

Wednesday is Jerome and my anniversary so tonight I am going to cook a little dinner for us since the girls aren’t home until later. I stopped at Whole Foods after my doc appointment and picked up some huge scallops and am going to make cappellini with scallops and garlic alfredo, one of our favorites. I also grabbed some of their yummy spinach dip and garlic baguette.

Today I decided to take full charge of my health, hence the doctors appointment. I am lucky that our insurance offers tons of complementary health coverage and I went in to see the head of the department today who is a firm believer in Eastern as well as Western medicine. She was absolutely amazing! I am also going in Wednesday for massage and next week I have my first accupuncture appointment. I am a bit nervous, but I know so many people who absolutely swear by it so I figure it is well worth a try! I have spent my whole life not feeling quite well and suffering from headaches, neck pain and fatigue. Not anymore. I refuse to mope through my days feeling in a fog. I was also put on a very simple vitamin regime including omega 3’s and tons of vitamin D, which I am supposed to be on anyway. I have a hard time with prenatals, so I also taking the girls gummy vitamins as well as 4 mg of folic acid (I have some blood enzyme clotting something or other….).

Ahhh….. I feel so good just taking control and not letting doctor after doctor treat the symtoms and not find the root of the problems.

My mother’s day was lovely and included a stop at my favorite restaurant, The Original Pancake House for breakfast. We didn’t have to even wait for a table since this little man:

is up at 5-6 everyday regardless of wether it is a weekend or not. I’m sure eventually he will be like his sissies and have to be dragged out of bed, but right now it would be awful nice to ’sleep’ in.

Time to start the scallops and maybe squeeze in a little yoga!

xx’s and oo’s
