Guests, Visitors, Independence
Another busy week, but another great one!
Our fourth of July was nice. We headed back up to the cottage and had a very nice bbq at Jerome’s aunt and uncle’s cottage which is right down the lane from his parents. Henri got to play with his cousin (second cousin, technically…) who is just about his age too!
Here are a few moments from that weekend..

Here is what I woke up to see outside on the fourth. For some reason I love hummingbirds.

On the homefront, we have also had a few visitors including my friend Ana, her husband Rodney and their nine month old, Effie. Henri had a little play date with her and they both did great!

Ana and I had been practically inseparable for years but I had lost touch over the years. It was so nice to see her, even if it was just for a while and it seemed like no time had passed at all. Well, until you looked down and saw our little ones playing.
We have also been taking advantage of the cooler weather and having lots of fires at night. It is nice to turn everything off and have the whole family outside, together. Of course, keeping Zoe away from the fire is a challenge… but who doesn’t like starting huge sticks on fire?

Today is my work day, so I suppose I should get to work, right? I don’t know, the weather is pretty perfect right now… maybe I”ll work outside for a while..
