Things Are Coming Along

Another busy busy weekend, but I suppose that goes without saying, at least until summer is over, right? OH, wait… then there will be another baby coming, and a holiday craft show in the works… Well, anyway.

This past weekend we took the girls up to the cottage. It was a lot of fun while we were actually AT the cottage, but for some reason those two just can not behave for very long in the van. It went between ‘Mom, her nasty toe touched me’ to fits of giggling and every mood inbetween. Ugh. And, right before we left our stove decided to quit working! That called for a trip to Sears last night to pick out a new one (coming tomorrow…). Double ugh! That certainly wasn’t in the buget right now!

But, the cottage was wonderful and we had absolutely perfect weather.

Here’s the kiddos getting the weekend started.

The girls also found their new favorite past time, tubing behind the jet ski!

The weekend also included some of this

and some of this..

We found a really nice zoo that is only about fifteen minutes away from the cottage too and took the kids there for a bit on Saturday. Henri had never been to the zoo before and I couldn’t tell if he was impressed or not, but he’s happy as long as Daddy is carrying him.

Zoe took some amazing pictures while we were there including the one that follows, and Darby basically complained that it was hot and she was thirsty and it smelled funny, and she couldn’t see the animals…. I think you get the point. Things were a little better once I let her get a slushy. Here is one of Zoe’s pics… I have to admit I was a little nervous with her leaning over the fence with my good camera… Anyone know of a decent, inexpensive digital one out there?

Besides all the travelling, I have been working away to stock up more inventory for some shops, including Anthology. Speaking of, Laura and Sachi are coming over tonight to start some exciting talks…. more info to come. I do have 200 something coasters and over a dozen frames for them to take back with them too!

I have also, after much debate, decided on a design for Henri’s b-day invites. I have been trying to convince myself to just order the ones I loved online, but first off, they were $3 each (that’s right… EACH), and what kind of crafty mama buys her son’s first birthday invites? Well, I guess the kind that buys his birth announcements.. Nevermind. Point is, I decided on something a little inbetween.

Henri is totally excited to help plan his party though. You can tell by this look that his sister’s taught him… I’m so glad they are constructive when playing with him!

He certainly is growing fast. So much has changed this past year and I can barely believe that we will have another munchkin adding to this craziness!!

It’s hard to imagine that this little man is going to be a BIG brother…

Time to go eat my microwave whatever it is that I’m having for lunch. Found some frozen something in the freezer… Did I mention our stove broke? OH yes, I did… blech.

I’ll hopefully have a b-day invite proof for your opinions coming soon!

I was a little worried about being towed behind the jet ski, until I saw Jerome standing in water to his knees! Loved Henri giving you the raspberries!Purchased invites do not mean failure as a mother,($3.00 each, is just crazy talk tho)Can’t wait to see everybody, will be good to get out of Dodge(or Chama)by then.Maybe Zoe needs a camera for Christmas?Love you muchly xoxoxoxo Momacita

They did get in deeper water, ya goof. That was just when they were getting going. BUT, all the water they were in was not scary deep… Yeah, I think I can do all the invites for about $10 extra supplies, not including what I have on hand here!
