Wild Things

No, this post is not about coasters. Although I do think I am seeing Wild Things in my sleep… I have a few large orders for coasters, which I am entirely grateful for! I have been making a mental list of things I need to do and get before Ms. Bean arrives, and as always, I can’t quite figure out where the money will all come from. Being a mom to four kids is going to be a WHOLE new thing….

Speaking of being a mom, this is about the other Wild Things in my life. Man, and they have been wild lately and there has certainly been more than one night that I have felt like sending them to their room with no dinner.

But, they’re still MY wild things and I love them to bits.

We have been working on figuring out Halloween costumes since by Halloween I will be ready to pop any day. Zoe was trying to convince me to buy her a $150 gorilla suit, but well, that just wasn’t going to happen (ever) so she settled with a revamped version of last years bear suit. Jerome’s mom helped with the adjustments and now she is a wolf / fox (depends on the day…) and she loves it! I told her if the suit was white / grey she would look just like Max and we could have made Henri into a Wild Thing!

Darby was digging through some of my cat hats and decided she is going to be a calico cat this year, as opposed to a black cat like she was last year. She’s much easier to please…

I have been trying to think of a little activity each day to do with them and yesterday this is what we did.

They were a little reluctant to help, but eventually helped out.

What’s the other wild things been up to? Well, Henri is loving taking baths like a big boy now (well, in the big tub at least, as opposed to the sink…), and even looks like a big boy in his Michigan outfit from Jerome’s aunt and uncle (his dad’s family is from Michigan…).

And for the tiniest? I think she is planning a career as a gymnast or dancer. She squirms and moves and shakes and shimmies all day and all night and has some part of her planted next to my bladder all night leading to no sleep and about six (literally) trips to the bathroom a night. Sooooo tired…. I did find her some adorable outfits yesterday and we may be starting the littlest kids room this weekend which involves painting and major furniture moving.

On Sunday though, we will be at the Willy Street Fair! I have done this show probably four or five times over the past ten or so years (off and on..) and it is always fun and successful. We will be somewhere on the 800 block on Williamson st. so please stop by and say hi (well, you can buy a bunch of stuff from us too… that would be lovely…).

Once again though, it is time to step away from the computer and get to work.

Wish me a productive week! I need it…
