Well, I am finally starting to slowly accept the fact that I now have four children. Wow! We are all getting to know Luna a little more and finding out all about her (and sleep depravation… and a thousand wet diapers.. and jaundice…. again.).

The big sisters came by after school on Friday to meet her. They both are head over heels in love, but Zoe is completely smitten. She adores babies, and even more when they are ours!

We got to leave the hospital today after a million and one tests and weight checks. Luna passed everything pretty well, although we do need to go to an audiologist because she didn’t completely pass the hearing screen (probably no big deal..) and we have to go back in to the hospital tomorrow for another test on her jaundice. Right now she is on the line of treatment, but far better than Henri was! She passed her car seat test and that was the main one to see if she got to come home today with us. She is down to 5 lb. 13 oz., but still doing great! She doesn’t have the nursing reflexes down yet (common in preemies…) so we do have to supplement for now, but I am working with lactation consultants so we should get that down in the next few weeks. It seems weird that after nursing three children I would need ‘classes’ but with pre-term there is a lot that is different.

Here we are getting ready to head home!

Oh, and yes, I had all my hair chopped off the day before I went on bedrest… not looking the best in that pic, but sooo easy to care for!

Next came the big test…. seeing how this guy was going to do!

Let’s just say he was much more interested in his cookies…
