I welcomed my first child into this world.

Happy Birthday Darbiana Scout!

Here we are on her first birthday..

… and here she is now.

We had three mini parties this year instead of one big one. First she wanted to get her ears pierced and go to the mall, but we did that last month since I wasn’t sure when I would be having Luna (she wasn’t due until next Saturday..), then my sister and Violet came over, then we had Jerome’s family over.

She is an incredible girl… goofy, sweet (usually) and smart. She is quite the tween though! If I could only harness that energy and use it for good, not evil..

My mom and I gave her DDR 3, which they have been playing non stop!
Jerome even joined in and he said it is actually a lot of fun. I should try it. Well, maybe by myself first since I don’t know if I am up for my entire family mocking me!

I have also been quite busy trying to keep up with this guy and he runs across the house (well, maybe not RUNNING yet..)

The cake was delicious though. Darby LOVES ice cream cakes…. Zoe looks a bit sneaky in this picture… I think she was plotting the ’sneaking more cake before bed’ scenario that happened later..

This little one has had quite the week too with doctors appointments, naps, feeding, pooping..

She passed her two week check up with flying colors! She is packing on the ounces like no body’s business. She had to go in for a three hour hearing test also since she failed two other hearing tests. The results were pretty reassuring although we still need to back to the specialist and go over a few things. She has low frequency hearing loss which they don’t think should hinder her much and it may turn out that the results are not super accurate anyway since they have a hard time testing ears that are soooo tiny. We’ll keep an eye on it…or an ear, I guess…

Well, Luna is finally back asleep so I should try to catch some zzz’s myself. With the Craftacular coming up in a few weeks though perhaps I should stay up and get some work done! Maybe in a couple of hours…
