Cottage Industry for the 21st Century

Thank you!!!

November 27th, 2006 9:56 am by Naomi in Day to Day at Glitter

Thank you so much to everyone who made this past weekends Craftacular the best one yet! We were so fortunate to have a wonderful group of vendors. We had crafty folks driving from Indiana and Chicago to take part in this event and it all paid off.

Saturday was great, having 300 in the door within the first couple of hours but on Sunday things got even better! I have to thank the Wisconsin State Journal and the Isthmus for helping to spread the word. We spoke with a sweet woman fromt the Journal who created a wonderful article about us and the Craftacular that came out in Sunday’s paper. I also did a webcast with a guy from the Isthmus that was cast on youtube. I looked slightly goofy, but I was glad to be able to tell our tale to a larger audience.

I have to give special thank you’s to Emily Kircher, my co-organizer as well. She spent many hours with me choosing vendors, helping to flyer, and so much more. I really wouldn’t be able to have done all this without her!

In web news, something is goofy with our online store at the moment. Hopefully by the time you all read this the problem will be solved, but in the meantime, please remember that you can also shop at our etsy store at www.glitterworkshop.etsy.com We have quite a few of the same goodies for sale on there!

Well, it’s time to head back to Glitter to start unpacking and and creating. Friday we will be heading to Minneapolis for the No-Coast show. Any friends in that area please stop by!

Thanks again, everyone for helping to make these dreams come real and for buying handmade and supporting your local artists and community.

The audio sync is so far off, Naomi looks like a kung-fu movie.
