Happy Holidays

December 17th, 2006 8:51 pm by Naomi in Day to Day at Glitter

I am one of those people who always think they should do more. Why didn’t I finish 10 more hats, spend more time with my family, bake a pie, clean my house…. I can find myself going on like that for hours if not days at a time. Once in a while though, I can stop myself and feel peaceful and appreciate all the wonders in my life.

Another year has passed and with it so many changes. I have gotten married, bought a house, watched my children grow another year older and even got our online store up! I have watched news clips and read articles about the horrors going on around the world while in the warmth of our safe town and my husbands arms. I have sometimes forgotten that I am blessed beyond a point I ever could have imagined. Every person that is reading this (and many many who are not) I want to thank. My family, friends and customers have helped my business grow and supported me through good and bad. I have a job that I am able to pick my girls up from school and leave if there is a sickness or bad day, not to mention chaperone many fieldtrips. I have businesses actually coming to me asking to carry my merchandise instead of sitting in my filthy studio wondering why I am doing this and who is ever going to want my things!

So this next year I want to be able to tell you that the store will grow even more (which I hope it will!) I will be in more shows do more and more and more…. but all I am promising is that in the next year, I will remember to kiss my family and tell them how much I love them…. that I will not let that pile of dirty laundry make me feel horrible, and that I will do the best I can to see the joy in the everyday. I hope you can all do the same.

I wish all of you a very merry holiday season and hope your New Year brings you exactly what you want, even if that just includes a few more naps.

with all my love and thanks,
Naomi
