Thank you Tim

When I was in St. Paul at the Craftstravaganza I was fortunate enough to be across from the most wonderful booth, Fantastic Toys. The whole day I stared at his amazing felted creations wishing I could take them all home with me.
Well, I finally contacted him via Etsy to see if he could do a special order for me. I told him about the twins I was expecting and how much I would love two of his pieces for their room. He told me he would love to make them and would let me know when they were done.
The day I found out I lost the twins I received a message from him that the dolls were done with this picture of them. With as much sadness as I felt, I also couldn’t take my eyes off the picture and knew that I still wanted to have the gnome babies. So, I contacted him and explained what had happened but that I still wanted the dolls and he sent them to me as a special gift.
When I received them in the mail I couldn’t decide if I wanted to put them in our memory box or keep them out somewhere. Then we moved our bedroom and did some redecorating and I knew that they were meant to be out, not stuck in a box. On my dresser I have a little collection of pictures of my girls throughout the years with some of my favorite trinkets and sure enough, there was a perfect place for my gnomes~
Some days (minutes… hours…) I am still filled with immense sadness (like this morning), but every time I look at these miniature pieces of art nestled so beautifully among the pictures of my Darby and Zoe I feel peace, if only for a second.

OMG, Naomi, I’m so so so sad to hear of this horrible news! My thoughts are with you — I can’t even begin to imagine how tough this must be.

I’m so glad you’re able to nestle these little darlings in with photos of your girls, in sight. I’m glad also that they bring bits of peace. I hope they can remind you of all the love that surrounds you every day.

Naomi’s Husband here,
I just wanted to thank Tim as well. I really love the twins, and although sadness still comes and goes, we will always have two special beautiful babies to remember.
To all of Naomi’s friends and customers thank you for everything. Your thoughts, your words have all helped over the past weeks. I really can not say enough so I will stop, but thank you from the bottom of my heart.
