Summer Solstice

June 21st, 2007 9:41 am by Naomi in Day to Day at Glitter

Happy Solstice! I hope everyone’s summer is off to a great start. First off, the beautiful vase above is by the amazing Ms. Emily Kircher. She brought it to me in the hospital with lovely gerbera daisies. The flowers are from my yard. Our gardens are going crazy and they are a bit of a never ending battle, but in a wonderful way. The stained and fused glass goodies are by my equally amazing mother, Beverly (La Zorra Glassworks, Chama, NM… there mom, how’s that for a plug??).

Second, my friend Carol Lynn is getting married today and I need to wish her the best. Although I don’t think I will be able to go, I know the woodland gnomes will be there for me.

Speaking of woodland creatures, I broke down at the Craftacular last Saturday and bought yet another owl pic

I love it. Of course.

My crafting has taken a wee bit of a back burner right now due to summer break for my kiddos and a pretty nasty case of carpal tunnel. Speaking of, I had to go in for a test called an EMG a couple of days ago. Horrid. Awful. Barely survived… ok, I’m exagerrating. Perhaps I am just a bit on the over sensitive side, but holy crap….. electric shocks up my hands and arms and needles in my muscles???? Nasty. I do hope that we can figure out a solution though. It is very hard to not be able to use my hands very much.

Well, my little angel just called me stupid for taking away her video game so I think I will deal with that and pour myself a cup of coffee. Oh, and take a really really really big deep breath first…

Happy Summer anyway.
