Gluing Away
Do you ever have a week where you feel like you haven’t stopped and taken a deep breath for days? Well, that’s how mine is going. It’s all good stuff (fortunately) but I’ve just been going at full speed.
I’ve also been gluing. Lots of gluing. It’s been nice with all the rain and cooler days (besides yesterday – yuck!) since I can just sit with all the windows open and glue away.
Here’s a pic of mushroom trio of barrettes that I adore

Most of the new goodies will stay at Glitter and some will go out to New Mexico for my mom’s shop. She is also the organizer of their studio tour coming up next month (I have to check the exact dates for all you NM folks out there). I am so proud of her! She lives in the Chama Valley which has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth, but not a ton going on (which I think is why people move there! what was that I said about not taking a deep breath….???), so I think it is great that she has taken so many steps to enhance the presence of the arts there.
I also have to go register the girls for school this morning. I miss all my ladies so much (and yes, you too Ms. Violet!!!). Darby and Zoe have been at their grandparents all week and Violet has been just running around like crazy this summer. She went to NM, Door County, kayak camp, a week of camping on Washington Island…. oh, and not to mention three days at Great America! Darby and Zoe’s summer has been just about as hectic, and wonderful.
I do feel a little twinge of sadness mixed in with all my happiness though. Darby is going to be going in to fourth grade and Zoe third. I tried to convince myself that I wouldn’t actually burst in to tears in the parking lot after dropping them off the first day, but who am I kidding???
Well, enjoy your last weeks of summer everyone and don’t forget, my sale weekend is in two weeks. It is 15% off store wide, so buy yourself something you have had you eye on or hell, start your Christmas shopping!! Don’t worry, I don’t have up any decorations yet … hehe..

I love the new barrettes! Sounds like your girls are having a superfun summer. Ah, why does summer have to end?
