Happy Harvest

Did I visit a farmer’s market this morning, you ask? Nope. My own back yard. Wait, are those peaches? Don’t you live in WI? Yes, I do. Yep, they are peaches. The woman we bought the house from planted the trees from little sticks someone gave her and she was told they were Asian pears. Well, upon my finding, after one struck me on the head while picking melons, that there was a pit, I cut it open and sure enough. We have about a zillion peaches. I’m a little scared to taste one, but I’m sure it’s fine! Also, to give credit where credit is due, I had very very little to do with the garden this year. Jerome has done almost all the work and it is amazing. With the crazy weather it has gone super wild, but we are getting lots of yum out of it!
