I’m Back!

September 17th, 2007 10:47 pm by Naomi in Day to Day at Glitter

“Other favorites were the nature inspired items from Glitter Workshop, they had a fabulous array of items with deer, gnomes and owls in their Forest Friends line and Abe Lincoln Studio had cool vintage owl earrings.” -www.craftcritique.com This was only one of the super great feedbacks I received from the show.

The weekend was looooong but amazing! Did I get a ton of awesome pics of my booth with all it’s fancy banners and lights? Nope. Not one. Ugh…. every year I tell myself I will get pics. I did have an excuse this time. Mainly the fact that people were buying things out of my totes before I even had them emptied! I ran out of bags and biz cards. Not to mention bunnies, all my amigurumi, most of the coasters we brought… It was the best show (monetarily) that I have ever done. Many shows are great but this one just had an amzing sheer volume of people!

Jerome, husband extraordinaire, was of course amazing. Not only did he drive, put up to my choice of music on the ipod, make many coffee / food / beverage runs, but he is the craft salesman of all craft salesman. It helps that he is quirky and good looking too I think. I love to sit behind my big display where the customers can’t see me and listen to him work his ‘oh! I love your necklace! Are you from around here?’ sales magic and listen to all the flirty ‘hehehe… thank you so much!!’ coming from the adorable hip girls. It’s pretty cute.

I only made a few purchases (mainly becuase of lack of time to shop!) including some amazing shadow puppets and a great pillow from my neighbor Alison from Wonderland Q and the Sampler. She was a total sweetie!

We were next to a big ol generator which I thought would be annoying but turned out to be nothing, noise wise, to the hip hop that was blaring for two days straight!

We also stayed at a quaint little inn that apparently is in the town that Ernest Hemingway was born in (so it reminded us on every block) that had no overnight parking except for a ramp about 5 blocks away that we had to walk to in the middle of the night when we got there.

Well, since I have no pics from the show, no new products, and am falling asleep, I will call it a post. I do need to thank every single person who came to the show and also say how nice it was to see all my crafty friends from around the country.
