Mad Craft-mas
Yeah! What a super weekend. I have to give a huge shout out to Miss Emily for organizing this time. She did a super job and it turned out great. Malibu and crafting…. two of my favorite things!
Heather and I can barely speak in full sentences after lack of sleep and too much booze and crafting, but we are giddy at the great response the Glitter has received. It is so wonderful to see people supporting local business and hand-crafted goods, instead of heading to the crap box stores to get a free stuffed snowman with their spakly sweatshirt.
We also made a couple of great connections with new local artists who are going to be setting us up with super duper cute skirts. Carol Lynn of ReCreate, and Michelle of Henhouse productions will be dropping off hand-crafted skirts within in the next week. Carol Lynn’s are reconstructed from sweatshirts and kind of on the sexy mini side (I even broke down and bought one… something I try not to do too much at my shows or I would spend all our profit! But….. it says ‘waitressing until my discovery’… see, I am a barista / cafe slave part time, so I thought it was appropriate). Michelle’s are jersey that she hand dies and sews into calf length super comfy beautiful skirts, many of them adorned with a flower or design on the bottom.
Faythe of Flying Fish Design and Paperboat Boutique fame also supplied us with a few more felt pouches and some wonderful monkey felt purses.
Soooooo…….. next weekend we have a small show we are doing to support a local grade school. It should be small but this is the first time I will be bringing my daughters (ages 6 & 8 ) to a show with me, so I figured starting small was a good idea.
Last but not in the least, least,…… our Holiday Open House is going up on Friday December 9 from 4-10 pm. There will be artists, crafts, cider, baked yums, booze and merriment for all. Come out and say hi and show your Glitter support. We love and appreciate all of you.
xxoo xxoo Naomi (aka… half of team Glitter….. Heather and I decided we need super power rings made….. think Thunder Cats…….)
Happy crafting

I have to second that shout out! Emily, you did a fan-tab-u-lous job (which, in turn, equaled GREAT sales!). Thanks for everything!
Carol Lynn (ReCreate), you are just killing me with those skirts! I’m digging through the myriad of my basement, looking for my old, L7 “Smell the Magic” tee & my Nashville Pussy shirt, for you to work your voodoo on.
Naomi, Heather…Your Holiday Open House sounds like something too, too much fun to pass up! We should be good and hung over for that art show we all have the next day…..Naomi, if you bring the Pepto, I’ll bring the Emergen-C. Heather can you handle the case of water…it’s all about hydration.
