2008

Happy New Year everyone! I hope all of you had a safe and relaxing New Year. We had a lovely time last night eating at a fabulous Italian restaurant very close to home then laid on the couch relaxing until I dozed off (nope, didn’t make it until midnight..). I’m enjoying the last day or so of the glow of the Christmas lights at home until I get them down.
Well, 2007 proved to be quite the year. It certainly had it’s fair share of up’s and down’s, but all in all, it was a pretty good year. I have many of you to thank for your support and love through it all.
As far as Glitter goes, I have many great things coming in the New Year. Jerome helped me all day today to get Christmas down and Valentine’s Day is almost ready. Also, it was three years ago today that I received the keys for the shop so believe me, we will be having some type of birthday celebration soon!
Emily and I are also finalizing the details for the Valentine Craftacular so check back here soon for info and applications.
One thing I do need some help with my crafty friends. I am in the market for a new sewing machine and would love your advice (or just happy new year thoughts!). I am definately a novice seamstress and do not need anything fancy schmancy, however I do sew felted sweaters, fake fur, etc. and need something pretty heavy duty that is simple to operate. Any advice???
Well, time to sip some tea, work on some knitting, and enjoy the last glow of the holidays.
xx’s and oo’s to everyone.
Naomi

Happy New Year! For a new sewing machine, go to a local sew and vac repair shop and let them sell you a great old Kenmore or Brother. Or spend some time looking on Craigslist or Bay and see what kind of old treasure you can find.
