Birthdays, Cupcakes and Basements
March 12th, 2008 4:16 pm by Naomi in Day to Day at Glitter, What We GotYesterday was a special day. Ms. Zoe turned nine!

Yes, my darling little daughter dresses like a 20 year old skater. Or a gangster other days… anyway, it was great all in all. Jerome made a super cool gift that she loves, a balance board! Evidentally you practice on these for skating to get your balance better. Of course there were legos and more tech deck stuff, and this was only one day! She also had a b-day at her dad’s house last weekend and will have another party this Sunday when my mom gets in (Sunday is my mom’s b-day too).
We also had cupcakes.

Oh fine. We had real ones! This little one is up in the shop though!
We have also, almost offically, finished the basement! It is still very much a blank canvas waiting for my decorating magic (yeah, sure….thrift shop finds and gnomes….), but we love it!! The girls adore it and it is cozy and spacious and Jerome’s parents even gave us a hand me down set they had that is like new and has a pull out bed for sleepovers, mom’s coming for visits (SATURDAY!!! yikes… I wish my back didn’t hurt… I have cleaning to do!!), hanging out.
Here are a few pics.

It’s hard to get a good pic that does it justice, but Jerome and his parents did amazing work. I was hesitant at first, but I love it.
Well, turkey tonight.. gotta go baste!
