More Kindness

The lovely Mindy Kuen sent this adorable charm in the mail for me yesterday! I can’t wait to find a chain to put it on. She also sent a sweet tag with Henri’s name on it that I think I will put on the diaper bag. It is soo wonderful to get all these treasures in the mail. Thank you!!!

In actual business news, I should have the Craftacular applications available by next weekend, so make sure to check here, or to email me at naomi@glitterworkshop.com to be notified when they are up.

Now for the rest of life…

The other day at the grocery store, this man

was not being so kind to his mama (insert…. screaming until he turned bright red, with a full cart of groceries and only two checkout lanes open…. I was getting some nasty and sympathetic looks!), so I bought myself these.

I am trying desperately to get better at taking a deep breath and just savoring the moments. Even the moments with screaming babies!… or annoyed husbands (he put in a new QUIET bathroom fan for me this weekend which involved cutting out a large portion of the bathroom ceiling… no, he actually wasn’t even too annoyed!), or whining daughters (WHY can’t we be online for eight hours a day????)..

Prince Henri had his checkup yesterday and all is well. I was concerned because he seriously poops like 10-15 times a day! They said it is normal. Yikes… Of course I am a bit annoyed though because he has a rash type thing on his bum that will not go away (small, but redder than regular diaper rash) no matter what we have tried. I used the Burt’s Bees diaper ointment, which did nothing, then switched to a ’stronger’ diaper ointment and even an antibiotic cream, and nothing helped. Then I thought his gdiapers would help since all the info I read about ‘natural’ disposables and cloth were supposed to be better for rashes since you have to change them more etc… SO, what was I told at the doctors? Go buy some Pampers. His skin is too sensitive for the cloth and it’s not pulling the moisture away from his skin enough. I change him every hour too, but nope, not good enough. I said my apologies to the Earth as I lugged out another bag full of diapers this morning. I also had to buy some industrial strength diaper rash crapola. deep breath…. He is up to 8 lbs. 1 oz. though so Jerome can finally use the Baby Bjorn! He has been waiting since the shower to stick the little guy in the carrier and lug him around!

Well, small man is calling for his milk machine and the Pillsbury Doughboy is telling me our cinnamon rolls are done (even a crunchy organic mama can fall off the wagon sometimes and get ‘fun food’! .. of course that won’t help the 30 lbs. I would like to lose)… it’s hard to believe Henri is almost a month, or that this peaceful man can drive me crazy sometimes!

Naomi he is just so adorable! I love love love that last little outfit he’s wearing!

Hang in there with everything…and don’t sweat using the disposables, Mama Earth will forgive you. I too have the gdiapers system and also some 100% biodegradeable disposables that I found on diapers.com (They are made in Sweden or somewhere in the Netherlands)but haven’t used them yet. The Pampers swaddlers fit Jake way better and well…they were gifts. lol I can’t turn down free.

The flowers are beautiful! Hope the rest of your day is too! xo Janet
