No One Said It Would Be Easy

September 4th, 2008 8:44 pm by Naomi in Day to Day at Glitter

But no one said it would be this hard. NO, that’s not true… I knew it would be hard! Wonderful, but tricky… The physical exhaustion has finally caught up with me!

The past week has been a whirlwind as well. We had the first day of school..

Which went really well. Darby is in fifth grade now and Zoe is in fourth! They are adjusting really well and seem to be off to a great start.

It is a whole new challenge though doing the day to day with a new baby. Even getting ready in the morning after very little sleep and with a baby that wants to nurse all the time is an adventure.

Here’s a couple pics of the little gnome.

Don’t worry, his car seat straps were properly adjusted before we got in the car! I’m quite particular..

Henri also got his first real, in the bathtub, bath this past weekend. I know, he’s a month old, but he has really really sensitive skin and his water on the body and soap on the bum baths are plenty good. He did NOT like the full bath much. He looks very concerned here..

Of course I have also spent a great deal of time ‘helping’ the girls play with him. They love him sooo much. I actually spent more time trying to get them to stop fighting over him than anything! They even like the boppy mat..

Don’t worry though. I have been working too! I sold a record number of goodies (for myself at least… I can’t speak for them!) at Anthology last month. I also have my first show in a couple of weeks coming up. Also, Jerome and I went to the Masonic Center today and measured out the booth spaces and finalized a few more details. I am soo excited for the Holiday Craftatacular! We will be able to offer 65 booths for this show. There will also be food available in the dining room and a whole room full of vendors beside the main banquet room. Here is a picture of the banquet room. There were some tables set up from an event, but it gives an idea of how great a space it is.

I just can’t wait!! I also have many great advertising ideas for the show and have spoke with local businesses regarding sponsorships and donations for goodie bags.

I hope to have the official application up by the weekend, so check back!!

Did you all have a good week??

Henri looks sweet as always and what a great first day of school shot of the girls. Hang in there with the newborn exhaustion. It can be rough…an adventure like you said. My kids aren’t in school yet so I don’t even know about the craziness of all of that yet. :)

Love the pics.. especially the girls with Henri! We’re super excited about the Craftacular and the new location! Now Sachi and I are brainstorming goodie bag ideas. So fun. Thanks for the note on our blog, and for the promise of restocking to come. Your tiles are so popular. I’m sure you are used to this at shows and your store, but it’s always fun to hear people talk about them. Where the Wild Things Are is such a classic to me; it’s funny when people don’t remember it…

Oh My gosh… that onesie looks so cute on Henri, especially with the hat! :) Max started kindergarten Tuesday and I had to hold back the tears, but all in all a good week! Have a great weekend!
