I do have the intention of blogging more than once a week~ Then again, I also have the intention of showering more than every few days (literally… eww…..) and sleeping more than two hours at a time…
First a reminder, this Friday is the final day to submit your application for the Holiday Craftacular! I am so amazed at the incredible applications I have already. It is going to be soo hard to choose the vendors. I am officially using a second room at the Masonic Center too since there are so many talented artists interested in participating. We do have two more sponsors to announce as well. Two local shops, both of who are great supporters of local artists, are going to be sponsors. Absolutely Art and the Bohemian Bauble! Welcome ladies!!
Anyway, we have been busy busy as always. I have stores to restock, orders to fill, birthdays to think about (my mom-in-laws this weekend… Darby’s in three weeks…).
But, we are doing great on Halloween costumes!
Zoe’s is all finished, thanks entirely to my mom-in-law! Here’s the little bear cub trying to kidnap the baby..

That was taken right before he vomited all over her…
Here’s the whole costume.

I have Darby’s hat finished but we still need to finish the rest of her costume. Of course she wears cat hats for everyday, so it was a good excuse to make a new one for her!

She is going to be eleven in a few weeks. Yikes… when did that happen? She wanted an American Girl doll for her birthday. I was thinking that we had missed that whole bandwagon (hoping, more like..) but when your mall-loving-glitterwearing-growing-up-too-fast daughter asks for a doll, especially when she is eleven, it warms your heart in so many ways that you drop the ridiculous amount of money for the made in China (although shipped from here in Middleton… can’t figure out why it cost $18 in shipping…) kind of creepy doll. I have to admit, the clothes are freakin adorable! The little shoes… yikes…. sooo cute. Then, of course, we had to get some outfits for Darby to match the creepy doll!
I had grand illusions of making Henri a totally wonderful Halloween costume, but he will probably wear this adorable ensemble from his Aunt Jenni.

poor guy..
I also have to show the amazing necklaces my mom is making. She sent these off for us to wear after channeling her energy after the last debate into something good so she didn’t explode…

I think I will have a selection of them for sale at the Craftacular. I think she should make ornaments too. I am working on a new selection of ornaments as well and hope to show them off soon.
I have been a bit slower on the production than I would like. I know, I have a ten week old, two daughters, a house, husband, business… but I have also been having a really hard time after this pregnancy with postpartum depression. There. I ’said’ it out loud. I am pretty convinced I had it after Darby was born too (I was too busy after Zoe was born! - nothing like a newborn and a sixteen month at home…), but at 22 and my first child I didn’t recognize what was going on. This time it is pretty obvious and since it has been ten weeks, I have decided it is time to get some help with it. Hell, I figure if nothing else a support group or therapy could be me time! Sometimes though it is hard to take the time to work on yourself. Other times, you just don’t want to. Well, I think I need to. I am also looking into a sewing class and a few other things to work on ‘me’. It is hard to think me me me but I have learned the hard way that it is much harder to never think of me….
I hope you are all enjoying the rainy day. I made a big pot of chicken rice soup and pumpkin muffins for dinner. Care to join us??
I will leave you with one more pic of my lovely niece with her favorite little guy… talk about growing up fast. She is almost taller than me! Where does time go? It slips away when you blink. I think I will stop blinking..

xx’s and oo’s…
